Cellular & Molecular Dynamics Committee
Annual Symposium Synopsys
Recent advances in nanotechnology are bringing novel capabilities to modern cell
and molecular biology research. Tools have been developed to categorize and
functionally analyze intra cellular structures. However, many questions remain
to be answered by biologists about molecular dynamics at the nano scale.
The application of nanobiotechnology to molecular and cellular dynamics (MCD)
will allow researchers to maniputlate individual genes and proteins for
investigating complex biological functions in living cells, and ultimately, for
curing diseases. Current challenges are listed below:
Topics & Application Areas
- Single-Molecule Imaging
- Photo- & Field-Activated Proteins & BioSensors
- Imaging Conformational Changes in Living Cells
- Ultra-High-Resolution Live-Cell Imaging
- Manipulation of Cells, Organelles, Proteins
|
- Cell Signaling in Real Time & Multiplexed Imaging
- Cell Surface Interactions
- Cellular & Nanostructure Material Interactions
- Molecular machines, receptors, pores & channels
- Ethical / Medico-Legal Aspects

Submit Proposal or Comment to Committee Chair
We encourage you to participate and to submit your interest as either an Scientific Committee Member or to organize a Scientific Committee*. The NSTI will provide the infrastructure for each Industrial Committee to organize and present a focused Symposium at the annual Nanotech Conference and Trade Show (Nanotech 2008, Boston, Massachusetts, June 1-5, 2008). Details will be provide upon approval of proposal.
* All submissions will be reviewed by the NSTI Scientific Committee
Chairs and a timely response will be issued.
