Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN)
The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering is a joint collaboration between two major universities with complementary strengths and histories - North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). JSNN offers professional masters and doctoral degrees in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (currently under review by the University of North Carolina General Administration). JSNN will initially concentrate in the emerging areas of nanobiology, nanomaterials, nanocomputing, nanometrology and nanobioelectronics. When JSNN opens in January 2012, it will offer 105,000 square foot of state-of-art teaching and research space, including 80,000 square feet of core facilities – nanoelectronic & biopharma cleanrooms, BSL-3, biophysics, nanoparticle, NMR, analytical, microscopy, genomics, biomass, tissue & cell culture space, computing and partner labs.
