James Brusey

James Brusey

Senior Lecturer in Computer Science
Faculty of Engineering and Computing
Coventry University, UK

Bio: I received a B.Ap.Sci. in Computer Science and a PhD. from RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) in 1996, and 2003, respectively. My PhD. thesis entitled Learning Behaviours for Robot Soccer won the Australian Computer Science Association Award for best PhD. thesis in 2004.

I joined Cogent and the Department of Engineering and Computing in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science.

Prior to coming to Coventry I spent four years as a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Manufacturing, which is a division of the Cambridge University Engineering Department.

Before that I worked in the Information Technology Industry in various positions for about 17 years, the last few years of which I was self-employed. The work ranged from things such as diagnosing and resolving operating system level problems in customised IBM OS/390 systems, to developing SSH-based tools to automate the management of large numbers of Unix servers.

Speaking in the special symposium on Sensors & Systems.
