Dr Kirk Martinez is a Senior Lecturer in the Pervasive Systems Centre, Department of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton UK.

Bio: My research involves building solutions to complex problems using a combination of electronics and computer science. To build sensor networks for the environment a combination of science and engineering is essential. I have designed sensor networks from scratch and am currently working on an EU project on using semantic web technologies to enhance environmental monitoring: SemsorGrid4Env.
