Dr. Michael Niedermayer received the M.S. degree and a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin. He also holds a MBA degree from the College of Technology and Economy of Berlin. After his studies in 1999, he worked as research engineer for Siemens and Tyco Electronics. Dr. Michael Niedermayer joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration as research manager in 2002. Currently, he is the head of the group Technology-Oriented Design Methods of the department System Design & Integration. His research interests are design methodologies, cost modeling, advanced packaging technologies and miniaturized wireless sensor systems.
