Vladimir Ajaev is Associate Professor of Mathematics at Southern
Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He received his B.S. from Moscow
Institute of Physics and Technology (Russia) in 1994 and Ph.D. from
Northwestern University in 1999. He conducted postdoctoral research in
the Chemical Engineering Department at Stanford University and then
joined the faculty at SMU in August 2001. Dr. Ajaev is a recipient of
Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship, as well as several teaching
awards at SMU.
