Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO)
Biotechnology researchers expand the boundaries of science to benefit mankind by providing better healthcare, enhanced agriculture, and a cleaner and safer environment. In 1993, two small Washington-based biotechnology trade organizations merged to create the Biotechnology Industry Organization, better known as BIO. The mission of BIO is to be the champion of biotechnology and the advocate for its member organizations –both large and small.
