A PSpice Compact Model for Organic Field-Effect Transistors

Abstract:A simple and comprehensive approach for modeling organic thin film transistors (OTFT) is presented. The advantage of the model is that it is based on the standard equations used for silicon devices which allows the implementation in simulation tools as PSpice. The presented compact model extends the standard MOSFET model by additional current sources describing the dependence of the charge carrier mobility and the conductivity of the semiconductor layer on the gate bias. It also takes into account the hysteresis effects and shows good agreement with experimental data.
