3D Nonlinear Atomistic-Based Continuum Model of Nano-Reinforced Polymers

Abstract:

The present study uses a nonlinear representative volume element (RVE) to investigate the mechanical properties of the nano-reinforced polymer system and to study the sensitivity of these properties on the interfacial representation. The results of the study are further used to develop an effective fiber for the study of larger nanocomposite systems with reduced degrees of freedom
