Abstract:
Silica coated silver nanoparticles have been synthesized in one step, by using flame spray pyrolysis. By controlling the production parameters, different sizes and different coating thicknesses were achieved. The particles were characterized with TEM/STEM, EDX spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, BET, UV/vis. The surface plasmon polariton resonances of the produced particles was investigated.
