Chirality Separation of single walled carbon nanotube using microfluidic

Abstract:
Carbon nanotubes were separated by dielectrophoresis in a micro-fluidics chip, which is easy to scale-up the process. We used the H-filter with micro size channels, which have two inlets and two outlets. In this experiment, we achieved the separation of over 90% metallic nanotubes. Also we can obtain the enriched semiconducting nanotubes simultaneously. The separated nanotubes were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, Absorption spectroscopy. As the results, it is demonstrated that the pristine nanotubes were well separated. The performance of the separated nanotubes was presented by using a FET device and a transparent conductive film.
