High visible yield nanophosphors under NIR excitation

Abstract:
A facile hydrotermal process for synthesis of various metal- oxide nanocrystals in the range between 10 and 100nm is presented. These nanocrystals present a high upconversion yield under NIR excitation. The oxide nanophosohors also are suitable for white ligth generation under both excitations: UV-Blue and NIR. The photoluminescent properties and morphology are controled by surfactant concentration.
