Switchable Solvents and Surfactants

Abstract:

We have developed new solvent/surfactant systems that uses CO2 to switch between two states. The solvent system switches between a non-polar form into a polar form, while the surfactant system can be switched from an inactive or demulsifier to an active or emusilfying form.
