Morphological studies on multi-walled carbon nanotubes reinforced feldspar/polypropylene hybrid composites

Abstract:

In this study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and feldspar/polypropylene (PP) hybrid composites were prepared by incorporating MWCNTs into feldspar/PP polymer matrix by melt mixing method. The effects of MWCNTs reinforcement and filler loading on the morphological characteristics of the MWCNTs/feldspar/PP hybrid composites were studied using Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the incorporation of MWCNTs in small proportions has improved the tensile strength and modulus of the feldspar/PP composites.
