Abstract:

The IEEE 802.15.4 based Zigbee wireless network is adopted in the smart grid monitoring and controlling in IIT’s “perfect power” project sponsored by Department of Energy. Through the power consumption optimization both at the physical layer and the network layer, robust wireless communication is achieved with extended battery life.
