Overcoming Challenges in Nano Surface Manipulation Techniques by Programming Surfaces for Selective Adsorption

Abstract:We introduce novel analysis methods to classify patterned substrates for selective adsorption and orientation. The use of nano-biomaterial, specifically DNA origami can be used to create arbitrary patterns comparable to that achieved using AFM and STM surface manipulation. We explore advanced image analysis methods in Atomic Force microscopy to classify surface preparation and nano particle distribution and orientation.
