Ocean Nourishment was conceived to address three interconnected problems facing the global community: climate change, food security and ocean acidification. The technology is based on 15 years research and development led by Professor Ian S.F. Jones (Sydney University, Australia).
Ocean Nourishment aims to restore the productivity and health of the world’s oceans, sequester carbon dioxide in the deep ocean and provide fish protein for the world’s poor.
Ocean Nourishment Corporation Pty Ltd (ONC) is working to commercialise this technology and owns patented technology, confidential know-how and a number of pending patents surrounding the long-term storage of carbon in the ocean.
