The Institute for Nanoscale and Quantum Scientific and Technological Advanced Research (nanoSTAR) is an inter-disciplinary center at the University of Virginia involving faculty from engineering, science, medicine, education, and business who work together to provide a very competitive environment for the advancement of the science and technology of nanoscale and quantum systems. Outreach and education are also a major function of nanoSTAR. Our vision of is to encourage, facilitate, and support collaborative research, development and commercialization in the key areas of nanoelectronics, medicine, and energy and the environment through partnerships with academia, industry and national laboratories.
