| Daniel L. Laird
Staff Researcher Sandia National Laboratories
| Daniel Laird is a project leader and principal member of the technical staff in the Energy, Resources, and Systems Analysis center at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He currently conducts research in wind energy, power system integration, and energy systems analysis. Dr. Laird was the Technical Program Chair for the ASME/AIAA Wind Energy Symposium (2006 and 2007) and is a member of the ASME Wind Energy Technical Committee. He leads Sandia National Laboratories’ internal energy systems education program. Dr. Laird received his B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
