Nanostructured Surface Characteristics after Ink Jet Printing

Jan Sumerel

Jan Sumerel

Dimatix, Inc.

Jan Sumerel received her Ph.D. under Professor William Marzluff at UNC where she studied G1 cyclin/CDK complexes during early embryogenesis. She did her postdoctoral work with Professor Dan Morse at UCSB where she studied silicateins that patterned glass spicules and used these proteins to synthesize inorganic materials. Jan then fabricated printheads using 266 nm lasers to micromachine photostructurable glass for the wafer fabrication of printheads. Jan is now a scientist at Dimatix, Inc. where she is studying the digital fabrication of bioinks

Co-chairing the Soft Nanotechnology and Nanostructured Surfaces and Interfaces Symposia.
