Kieran F. Drain President and Chief Executive Officer NanoGram Corporation

Dr. Drain has been President & CEO of NanoGram since August, 2005. NanoGram Corporation, is a leading provider, developer and licensor of core process technology and tools for the manufacture of unique nanostructured materials for optical, electronic and energy applications. NanoGram has developed an extensive intellectual property portfolio that is expanding the boundaries of nanomaterials technologies and enabling the development and manufacture of new generations of materials, devices, components and applications across a broad range of industries. The company has a strong position with Global 1000 customer partners, and has raised more than $58M in venture funding since 2004.

Prior to joining NanoGram Corporation, Dr. Drain was Vice President and General Manager for the Global Performance Polymers Division of Avery Dennison Corporation with prior leadership roles at Ciba Specialty Chemicals and Loctite Corporation. Dr. Drain has over twenty five years' industrial experience in technology and business management in diverse industrial segments including polymer batteries, LCD displays, electronics interconnect, automotive, and composites. Dr. Drain holds PhD (Industrial Chemistry), MSc (Polymer Chemistry) and BSc (Pharmacy) degrees from The Queen's University of Belfast in Northern Ireland and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, United Kingdom. He also holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University, Denver Colorado. He has served as a board member for the Adhesive and Sealant Council, US.
