Scott DePasquale is a Vice President in the Venture Capital group at GE Energy Financial Services, which is one of the most active investors in energy technology markets, with a 7-person team with presence in San Francisco, Munich, Boston and Stamford, CT.

Mr. DePasquale is an investment professional with more than 10 years of experience in the global energy industry, ranging from renewable technologies to infrastructure and upstream oil and gas. He has been instrumental in growing GE’s energy venture capital business domestically and abroad, playing a key role in the execution of more than nine new investments across diverse cleantech sectors. He actively works with scientists across GE’s corporate R&D center as well as executives from internal businesses to synthesize cooperative opportunities with his portfolio companies.

Prior to joining GE Energy Financial Services, Mr. DePasquale was a senior consultant for Boston based Energy Security Analysis, Inc. (ESAI) – a geopolitical think tank specializing in energy security policy and financial risk management. At ESAI, Mr. DePasquale helped some of the world’s largest energy concerns, managed the risks associated with the acquisition of oil, gas, and power related assets. His clients included utilities, foreign national oil companies, and global energy trading organizations.

Mr. DePasquale has also developed public policy in the area of hedging and price risk management as an Economist for the Department of Telecommunications and Energy in Massachusetts. He has also been a sitting member of the Boston Stock Exchange and an energy trader for an affiliate of the international oil trading giant, Vitol S.A. Mr. DePasquale holds a Master of Science in Finance from Suffolk University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.
