Investing in the New Water Economy

Abstract:
The water scarcity and quality crises now being faced by the world have started a transformation in how we use, process and manage all forms of water resources. The result is the beginning of what XPV refers to the New Water Economy that will create some of the biggest investment opportunities of the 21st century. Under a new water economy one must assess how the unstoppable macro trends of population growth, urbanization, industrialization, infrastructure failure, climate change and growing public awareness are impacting the political, social and economical use of water. The talk will mainly focus on the investment outcomes of macro trends that have aligned to provide a rich environment for investing in next generation water companies. The presentation will cover specific investment themes and examples of technologies that will drive and benefit from the first wave of growth of the new water economy.
