DNA Biosensor Functionalized Carbon Nanotube for Monitoring Environmental Pollutants
S.A. Afuwape National University San Diego, US
Keywords: DNA biosensor, label-free, ISFET, biotoxins, nanoparticles, model
Abstract: The fundamental understanding of Schottky junction and the ballistic electron transfer across drain-source gate voltage controlled field-effect transduction will enhance development, design and optimization of pertinent parameters of a functionalized DNA Biosensor. These nanotechnology scaled sensors can be versatile in design to detect organic radical and inorganic ions, and biological species. This project has developed simulated circuits and fitted appropriate device parameter to implement diverse device application. The SPICE-like circuit simulations software is explored for the optimal parameter, hardware simulation and eventual rapid prototyping. In addition, application of gate functionalized by carbon nanotube (CNT) offers improved sensitive and specificity of the nanosensor that can detect microscopic environmental toxins and pollutants.
