Abstract: Report presents results aimed the development of technology for nanodimensional film based gas sensors manufacturing on the basis of chalcogenide semiconducting materials as alternative to metal oxide based gas sensors. The specifics and advances of chalcogenide semiconductors, in comparison with metal oxides, consist in their capability to detect toxic gases in atmosphere already at room temperature. Transition to these materials will allow to excluding the heater from the GS construction and decreasing the manufacturing and operational costs.
