K. Arima University of Waterloo, CA
Keywords: lithium-ion battery, cathode material, lithium metal phosphates, nanocrystallites, nanostructures, PHEV, HEV, electric range
Abstract: This IP consists of the development of a new nanostructured cathode material for lithium-ion batteries. This new material has the characteristics critical for use in large capacity systems such as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV): low-cost, easily prepared, safe, market competitive and with low environmental impact.
