Abstract: Tumeric (curcumin) has long been known to be effective in the treatment of disease, but it has limited aqueous solubility. Curcumin can be asymmetrically functionalized so that one of the phenols is still active or further to produce a nano-bioconjugate with unique solubility characteristics and increased efficacy in treatment.
