SureSpot: On Line Image Processing Solutions for Sub Nanoliter Scale Fabrication for Bioassay Development

Abstract:
The primary focus of the data presented will be centered on characterizing picovolume liquid handling robotics that implement a pre, during and post fabrication image analysis for optimizing the dispensing of complex sample compositions. In the process of describing this system, we will refer to relevant technical issues such as software development and instrumentation configuration. The second half of the presentation will involve how this has been applied for cell culture and protein array development. Piezoelectric non contact dispensing and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microcontact printing examples will be disclosed.
