Sopogy specializes in the development, design, manufacturing and distribution of concentrated solar power systems. Sopogy Energy Systems are uniquely designed for operation in tropical and coastal locations for electricity generation, air conditioning, agricultural drying and industrial steam systems.
Sopogy was conceived in 2002 after early research and development was conducted by Energy Laboratories™ on Hawaii’s Kona Coast. Modified concentrated solar power technology was found to be the best option based on application, efficiencies and cost. In 2006 Sopogy received recognition by the Hawaii Venture Capital Association and has several Hawaii projects targeted for 2007 installation.
