Nano- Hybridparticles by Template Polymerisation
H.-J.P. Adler and A. Pich Technische Universitaet Dresden, DE
Keywords: morphology, sensitivity, conducting polymers, magnetic response
Abstract: Polymeric particles with defined properties (size, morphology, reactice surface) can be used as templates for the deposition of inorganic materials in nanoparticle form. The dense or porous structure of the polymeric particles will determine the localisation of the inorganic nanoparticles on the surface or in the particle interior respectively. Herein we discuss the preparation of the sub-micrometer large particles and microgels and their functionalisation with noble metals (Au,Ag,Pt), semiconductors (conjugated polymers, metal sulphides, metal oxides), biominerals etc.. Obtained hybrid particles can be used as building blocks for the preparation of functional materials in form of fibers, patterned layers, thin films, sensitive hydrogels, etc.. A.Pich, S.
