When PI introduced piezo-electric NanoPositioning technology 30 years ago, typical customers were research labs and universities working on laser cavity tuning, Fabry-Perot interferometers and filters. Few foresaw the impact of NanoPositionng and NanoAutomation® on manufacturing & testing processes in future technologies such as Fiber Optics, Semiconductors, Data Storage and Life Sciences.
