Manus Henry is a Research Fellow at the Engineering Science Department of Oxford University. Since 1988 he has been developing the self-validating (SEVA) sensor concept through theory and prototypes, which has become a UK standard (BS-7986). He is pioneered the digital Coriolis transmitter, and for which he was awarded the IEE Control Division’s Younger Engineer Medal. This has been commercialized as Foxboro’s CFT-50 meter, which has won several industry awards. He is deputy chair of the IEEE committee on Low Power Electronics and System on Chip, a member of the editorial advisory board of the Journal Flow Measurement and Instrumentation, and a Visiting Professor at Chongqing University in China.
