Abstract:
IC Scope Research is seeking $3M to develop a key enabling technology for large scale nanometer electronics design. Our physics driven design composition (PDDC) technology represents a quantum leap in bringing nanotechnology into the existing IC design infrastructure. Since its founding in 2001, IC Scope Research has become a respected technology leader in the emerging design for manufacturing field. The company has developed extensive software technology, key (pending) patents, and an extensive collaboration network. The precursor to the PDDC technology, DFM Compilation, is under validation for 90nm and 65nm IC technologies. The company has licensed software to companies such as Cadence Design Systems and NTT-AT in Japan. The funding requested here will be used to build a first class software team based in the silicon valley and support technology validation on customer’s sites in Texas and Taiwan.
