Abstract:
Alfred Preisig heads the Swiss Tax Desk of Ernst & Young in New York. Before joining the Desk he was the partner in charge for the Financial Services Tax Practice of Ernst & Young Switzerland. His former clients include Swiss and multinational banks, insurance and manufacturing companies. Since his transfer to New York, Alfred is focusing on the tax efficient structuring of financing activities and the use of intellectual property as well as tax minimization for supply chains. He is also advising U.S. and Swiss multinational groups on cross-border acquisitions and post-merger integration. Alfred is with Ernst & Young since 1990. He holds a masters degree in law from the University of Berne, Switzerland and is admitted to the bar in Zurich. Alfred is on the board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce. He is a contributing writer to numerous publications and a frequent lecturer at international tax conferences.
