Multifunctional cantilever arrays for chemical and biological sensing

Abstract:
Biosensing tools are currently undergo a further stage of development increasing efforts have therefore been put into the development of cantilever-based sensors for the combined parallel detection of physical phenomena and chemical and biological molecular interactions.
Detection of multiple unlabelled non-amplified DNA/RNA simultaneously down to picomolar concentrations within minutes is demonstrated. We report on new styles of bio-/chemical cantilever activation for proteomics and microorganism sensing applications.
