Simple and Effective Way to Prepare CuFe2O4/SiO2 Nanocomposites by Sol-Gel Method

CuFe2O4/SiO2 nano composite materials have attracted great attention due to their novel physical and chemical properties. There are different methods to prepare nano composite materials like solid state reaction, sol gel, etc. Among them, sol gel route is a simple low temperature process, which results the final product with high purity, homogeneity and controlled size. Hence, in the present work, nano crystalline CuFe2O4 embedded SiO2 composite material was prepared by sol gel route using metal nitrates and tetraethoxyorthosilane (TEOS) and characterized by XRD, FTIR and TEM.
