MiNTeC supports the development of nano technology. MiNTeC receives funding from the National Science Foundation as a node in the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) to subsidize usage by all interested academic researchers, and provides access to MiNTeC's multi-user facilities by industry researchers. Three facilities provide complementary capabilities in device fabrication, materials characterization and nanoparticle synthesis. Each facility is staffed with full-time professionals who perform analysis for clients, provide training on the use of cutting-edge instrumentation, and are generally available for discussion and advice on capabilities.
