Laser welding systems for assembling plastic micro or microfluidic components. Patented mask process allows for freely definable geometries to be selectively bonded. Weld widths as narrow as 100 microns (.004”) are achieved. Laser welding systems offer high flexibility and precise, repeatable hermetic welding of thermoplastics. Laser lends itself well to micro device assembly as no particulate or contamination is developed during the process. The Novolas™ Work Station, OEM, Basic, and Mask systems provide for a variety of weld pattern alternatives. Turn-key systems and systems for production integration are available.
