Centice Corporation has developed a proprietary, patent-pending digital sensor platform for molecular sensing using functionalized nanoparticles. The Centice digital sensor platform is a critically enabling bridge between laboratory demonstration of nanoparticle-based molecular recognition and functional commercial molecular sensors. Using this platform, Centice plans to develop molecular sensors in three commercial areas: 1) medical research and disease diagnosis, 2) chemical and pharmaceutical process control, and 3) homeland security/emergency response. This digital sensor platform for molecular nanosensors has already been proven in federally sponsored research at Duke University and in a commercial application in partnership with a Fortune 500 medical equipment company.
