New Scale Technologies makes miniature actuators and microrobotic systems that move precisely, with long-range and high efficiency. Our products are superior tools for nanotechnology research and manufacturing. Our newest product is a tiny ultrasonic actuator we call the SQUIGGLE motor which is a few millimeters in diameter, moves with nanometer precision and pushes several Newtons. SQUIGGLE robots are ideal for nanotechnology research in air and vacuum and operate without generating magnetic fields. Potential SQUIGGLE markets include all applications that use miniature electromagnetic motors and solenoids such as biotechnology, microelectronics, photonics, microscopy, aerospace, medical devices, valves and office and consumer products.
