Access (by air):

Savannah's International Airport (45 minutes from the island) is served by major airlines including Delta, USAir and ValuJet. Limousine and taxi service is available, and all major car rental agencies are represented. Hilton Head Island Airport is served daily by commuter flights from Charlotte on USAir Express and from Raleigh/Durham on Midway Airlines.

Access (by land):

Motorists travelling northbound and southbound take Exit 8 (US 278). Amtrak serves Savannah and Charleston with several trains daily.
