Nanotech 2001 Nanotechnology Track
The Joint Nanotech, ICCN & MSM Conference will be held at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, U.S.A. The conference will start Sunday late afternoon with registration and reception, and adjourn Wednesday afternoon. Technical sessions, and the vendor exhibition run Monday through Wednesday. In addition to the Conference Technical Program, several social activities are being planned at this world class resort, to allow attendees ample opportunity to enjoy this tropical island.
With the continued miniaturization and blending of technologies, advanced computational techniques in the nano and micro regimes are paramount in the advancement of all high technology regardless of its traditional domain.
The ICCN provides a forum for the interdisciplinary blending of computational efforts in biology, chemistry, physics and materials, founded on inherently similar ab initio approaches but applied towards traditionally distinct disciplines.
MSM provides a forum for the interdisciplinary blending of computational efforts in the microelectronic and MEMS disciplines, which require an inherent system approach for design but are rapidly becoming more dependent upon computational nanoscience for basic input. The blending of the basics of computational nanoscience and the system-level requirements of microsystem modeling are a requirement for the future of computational based technology design.
The blending of these two domains will start at the joint conferences MSM and ICCN in which joint sessions and overlapping topics and workshops will be developed specifically to prepare the simulation community for advancements in applied computational research, regardless of the application domain.
